Jacques Muller (August 13, 1956 - November 4, 2018)

Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of friend and master animator, Jacques Muller, who died yesterday, November 4, 2018. Even though he had been in declining health and battling serious heart issues as of late, this news still comes as a shock. His amazing career in animation included companies like Walt Disney Animation StudiosWarner Bros. EntertainmentUniversal Studios EntertainmentAmblinDon Bluth Films and ILM. Although we only knew one another on Facebook, his friendship meant a great deal to me. Our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies go out to his family, friends and loved ones, including his brother, Jean-christophe Launay. Rest in peace, Monsieur Muller.

40 Years of Animated Cartoons

Received our copy of Jacques Muller's new book, "40 Years of Animated Cartoons". Mr. Muller was kind enough to do an original sketch of both Roger and Jessica Rabbit and add some color, in addition to inscribing the book. This is something to be cherished for many years to come and is a piece of animation history. If you're a fan of his work in general or just a Roger Rabbit fanatic, I highly suggest purchasing a copy.

Happy Birthday, Gary K. Wolf and ToonTown!

Wishing the happiest of birthdays to the creator of Roger Rabbit, Jessica Rabbit, Baby Herman, Private Eye Eddie Valiant and the whole concept of ToonTown, the incomparable Gary K. Wolf  Without him, there would be no Who Framed Roger Rabbit and I wouldn't be fortunate enough to have the wonderful Roger Rabbit collection & rarities that I have. I am proud, honored and forever grateful that he is my friend. Happy 77th, Gary!

Also, in 1993, Mickey's Toontown opened on this day at Disneyland. It's no coincidence that it happened on Gary's birthday, who was their guest of honor. I'm the proud owner of his personal "Creator" badge, original press kit and a One Zillion Simoleons note.
