The Black Cauldron turns 35!

35 years ago, #OTD, July 24, 1985 - Disney's 25th animated feature film, The Black Cauldron, directed by Ted Berman & Richard Rich, and featuring the voice talents of Grant Bardsley, Susan Sheridan, John Byner, Nigel Hawthorne, John Hurt, Phil Fondacaro, Freddie Jones, Arthur Malet, Billie Hayes, Wayne Allwine, Phil Nibbelink & John Huston, opens in U.S. theaters. Loosely based on the first two books in The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, it was the first Disney animated film to receive a PG rating as well as the first Disney animated film to feature computer-generated imagery. It was also the most expensive animated film ever made at the time. #BlackCauldron35
